Care
As a promise I made to God while I was sick, I committed to helping others if I recovered. Over the past six weeks, I’ve accompanied loved ones to several doctor’s appointments, hospitals, and surgery centers.
Each visit has reminded me how fragile our bodies can be. Age, lifestyle, and simply being human all take their toll. I’ve also been amazed by the incredible medicines, technologies, and resources available to those who can access them.
After walking through serious illness myself, these experiences have deepened one truth: health is one of God’s greatest gifts. When your body is functioning well, it’s easy to overlook. But when your health is compromised, it affects nearly every part of your life.
If you are blessed with balanced wellness today, don’t take it for granted. Give thanks, care for your body, and choose joy.
Why Choose Joy
Good health allows you to more fully enjoy the life God has given you.
Caring for your body today helps prepare you for tomorrow’s opportunities and challenges.
Gratitude for your health shifts your focus from taking your body for granted to treating it as a gift.
How to Practice Joy
Schedule regular preventive checkups and know your health baseline.
Follow the guidance of your licensed healthcare professionals.
Move your body in ways you enjoy.
Nourish yourself with wholesome foods, plenty of water, and balanced nutrition.
Prioritize rest and quality sleep to restore your body, mind, and spirit.
Reflect on Joy
What is one step you can take today to better care for your health?
In what ways do you thank God for the body He has given you?
If your health is good today, how can you use that blessing to serve others?
Daily Joy Reminder
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
— Corinthians 6:19-20
