Courage

Courage isn’t always standing in front of a crowd. Sometimes it’s simply speaking God’s name when your heart tells you to.

I’ve been thinking a lot about courage lately. We often picture it as the lion in The Wizard of Oz finally finding his bravery, or courageous advocates speaking out against injustice and defending those who are marginalized.

For me, courage looks different.

It’s having the boldness to share how God has transformed my life. Most days it’s easy. Other times, I feel prompted to say something but remain silent. Later, I regret missing the opportunity to share the hope that has carried me through some of life’s hardest seasons.

I’ve learned that courage isn’t about having all the right words. It’s about trusting God enough to be faithful when He opens the door. Every time we share our story with humility and love, we give others a glimpse of His goodness. That kind of courage strengthens our own faith and may become the hope someone else desperately needs.

Why Choose Joy

  • Sharing what God has done in your life can encourage someone who needs hope.

  • Courage grows every time you choose faith over fear.

  • Living authentically for Christ brings peace, purpose, and lasting joy.

How to Choose Joy

Begin by sharing your testimony with trusted family or friends.

Spend time with faith-filled people who encourage spiritual growth.

Pray for courage and allow God to guide your conversations naturally.

Share with humility by listening well, avoiding judgment, and needing to have every answer.

Love people where they are, whether or not they share your beliefs.

Reflect on Joy

When has God given you an opportunity to share your faith?

What fear, if any, keeps you from speaking more openly about God?

Where might God be inviting you to be more courageous this week?

Daily Joy Reminder

“Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety.” —‭‭Job‬ ‭11‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
